Description
Mohammad Mehraban is an Iranian ney (Persian reed flute) player and musician. He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in music from the University of Art in Tehran. He has studied under prominent masters such as Mohammadali Hadadian, Mohammadali Keynejad, Hassan Nahid, Abdolnagh Afsharnia, and Siamak Jahangiri, and completed his theory and solfège training with Professor Sharifi Lotfi.
His musical focus is on the Karimi and Doami vocal radif traditions of Persian classical music. He has performed in numerous concerts in Iran and abroad. Currently, he is active as a ney instructor, promoting the instrument, and also teaches music theory and solfège.
